Two days on set with Theo Jansen, photographing for this short documentary.
A skeleton of PVC tubes that stands up and walks into the wind is not something you file away afterwards: part engineering, part animal, part something we don't have a word for yet. Theo took us into the world of his Strandbeesten with an openness and a patience I'm still grateful for.
And I got to do it alongside a fantastic group of Italians. A crew that works fast, laughs loud and cares about every frame. Thank you all.
